EXPLANATORY NOTE

This bill seeks to appropriate the amount of Five Million Pesos (Php5,000,000.00) for the construction of tourism centers in the First District of Nueva Ecija, particularly the towns of Aliaga, Guimba, Licab, Cuyapo, Nampicuan, Sto.Domingo, Zaragoza, Quezon and the City of Talavera.

The author recognizes that the engagement of the citizenry in productive endeavors such as sports and socio-cultural activities will greatly contribute to their well-being and address problems like drug addiction and petty crimes. Such activities foster general health, both physical and mental, instill moral and social values, aside from providing a venue where the people’s creativity and spirit of cooperation can be harnessed.

Investing in tourism centers is worthwhile for the fruits borne of these undertakings are beyond monetary value. Ultimately, our nation benefits from projects which promote the citizenry’s well-being and productivity by encouraging their participation in public and civil affairs.

Hence, approval of this bill is earnestly sought.
